1. Information we may collect
Depending on how you use Max Math, we may collect:
- account information such as username and email address;
- authentication and security information needed to operate your account;
- purchase, transaction, entitlement, and order information;
- support communications you send to us;
- referral or affiliate information if you use those features; and
- technical information needed for security and operation, such as browser, device, IP address, cookies, and server logs.
2. How we use information
We may use information to:
- create and secure accounts;
- provide access to purchased digital learning content;
- process and confirm purchases;
- provide customer support;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- operate, maintain, and improve Max Math; and
- comply with legal obligations.
3. Children's privacy
Max Math is a child-focused educational service, so children's privacy is important to us. Adults should create and manage accounts and should not instruct a child under 13 to submit personal contact, billing, or address information directly to Max Math.
Where U.S. children's privacy law applies and Max Math collects personal information from a child under 13 beyond an applicable legal exception, we will use appropriate parental notice and consent procedures before that collection. Parents or guardians may contact us to ask about information associated with their child and to request appropriate access, correction, or deletion.
4. Payments and Paddle
Paid transactions may be processed by Paddle as merchant of record. Paddle receives and processes payment and billing information under its own privacy notice and buyer terms. Max Math does not need to receive full payment-card details in order to provide the purchased digital product.
5. Cookies and technical data
We may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, remembering session state, and operating the service. If we later introduce non-essential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, this policy and any required consent choices should be updated before those tools are used.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell children's personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the website, process payments, host systems, secure accounts, or provide support, when reasonably necessary for those purposes or when required by law.
7. Data retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal requirements, and protect the service. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other controls relating to personal information. Parents and guardians may also contact us regarding information associated with a child.
9. International users
Max Math may be accessed from different countries. Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, subject to applicable legal requirements.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. The current effective date appears at the top of this page.
